Today's agenda

Sunday, July 03, 2005

Today there are fewer items on the list, but nevertheless, it is not any less intense. 6 am run for my marathon training. Just two hours today. :)
Update: Arrgh! The switched up the run on me. We only ran 1:20. 20 minutes easy, 40 minutes marathon pace, 20 minutes easy. 7.6 miles total, 11:15 average pace. I was dyin'! It was humid and I was hurting from my yardwork marathon yesterday. The weeds can have it for all I care! Grrrr!
Urban 10 (an out and back) Right on McMillan Cross McCommas .5 Left on Goodwin 1.0 Right on Greenville ½ block to Vickery Left on Vickery Cross Skillman 1.7 PowerAde in the Park Right on Skillman ½ block to Llano Left on Llano to Cecille 2.0 Right on Cecille to Richmond 2.4 Left on Richmond one block to Empire 2.5 Right on Empire to Swiss Merge onto Swiss 3.0 miles is just before crossing Glendale PowerAde on the median at Fitzhugh 3.8 4.0 at Annex Cross Hall Street Left on Oak Street 5.0 Followed by mountain biking at Cedar Hill State Park with one of my AT pals. Then, depending on how I'm feeling, we might throw in some nav practice.
Update: My AT pal bailed on me, but at least he called! So, instead of driving all the way to CHSP, I'm going to go ride Arbor Hills. I ran the trails out there, but not ridden them yet. At least it's close.
Updated Update: I LOVE ARBOR HILLS!!! If you guys think the paved running trail is pretty, you have got to come down and see the biking/hiking trails! I'm in love! With that park that is... What a great time! I only rode the loop once because my legs are killing me from yardwork/running. It's longer than the DORBA site says. I don't think that's been updated since they expanded and re-opened the riding trails. It was an excellent trail! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!
Finally I'll be heading over to one of my girlfriends' houses for some beer, some food, some poker, some TV, and some general good times.

  • Hello, happy run day! That's a good pace for the miles. I'm taking the day off, as tommorrow is a 4 mile race. But I ran 5 miles yesterday, and I think the pace turned out to be about 10:10, that's treadmilll pace though with some rolling hills. I've got to prepare for more hills in the future.

  • Wow, for people who run to and from their cars you seem really active. I was so glad when I read the final paragrph about you meeting up with your friends for some beer. Until then I thought you run, bike or mowe the lawn all day:)
