I'm off now to go make it official. My emotions are mixed. I've known it was coming, and now, in just about an hour, there will be a clear and final end to all this. I'm standing between two doors. Shutting one forever, putting the memories away. Ready to open the other, and start a whole new set of adventures.
Update: It's done.

  • I'll be thinking about ya. I think you have good things waiting for you on the other side of the open door. You can close the old one with grace.

  • Good for you. You've completed something that others dread. You'll be stronger because of it.

  • Now you can look to the future and enjoy it. Have a great weekend!!
    Good luck on Sunday.

  • I'm very proud of you, babe. And I think you should have ice cream on standbye for the end of today. You will be exhausted, but will feel great.

And tomorrow, you will officially be single and on the prowl. I hope Superboy can keep up!!

  • I'm not sure of the etiquette here. Are congratulations proper?

I do agree with what others have said, in that you clearly have a bright future and lots of good things yet to experience.

  • Thinkin' about ya today! Will see you next week to hear about it!
As for the question about wedding stuff...you might want to take the diamond out of the ring and hold onto it in case Z or L ever in need of a stone for their fiance to use. I know that is where we got ours - from my parents' first ring. It could be more of a financial thing that anything, who knows? Or, hey, hock it and put the money aside!
