What we don't know...

Wednesday, December 14, 2005

...is whether I have a stress fracture or an inflammed 5th metatarsal joint. The x-rays look clear. Which isn't really surprising. Diagnosing a stress fracture is difficult. Another test is needed. So, for a short while on Friday, I will no longer be known as Interstellar Lass. I will be... drumroll...
echo... Then, I still won't know at least until Monday or Tuesday what the final diagnosis is. Until then, I can only wear my running shoes. That'll look great with my business suits. The difference between the two diagnoses will be how long I have to lay off the running. Keep your fingers crossed.

  • Will you glow in the dark? Cuz that can come in handy when the power goes out and you want to read. Also, you might get some sort of superpower, like the ability to see through clothes and stuff.

  • either way, it sucks. I hope you are feeling better soon!

  • Fingers are crossed.
You needed a cyber drum roll preceding the RADIOACTIVE LASS...
    Good luck.

  • It still hasn't been determined if I glow in the dark...you know the whole 3 Mile Island thing from 25 years ago? We could go on tour! Hope everything's o.k. I'll be hard not to run now that you're in the groove. And at least your feet will be comfortable although you may not be the fashion plate you are for a few days.

  • so where's the pic of you in your business suit and running shoes???
you won't have to worry whether the flash will go off or not.

  • Isn't running around in running shoes how you got the possible stress fracture in the first place? What's this? "Hair of the dog"? Go for the stilletos!

  • No, running shoes will be cool. Maybe you could ride your bike to work, like Meg Ryan did in that movie.

  • Good luck. As they say in that song..."she blinded me with science"!
